Echo Bandits - Rock Covers Band in the Forest of Dean

echoBANDITS lurk in the shadows to take the echoes of past rock classics and deliver them screaming into today’s live rock venues. Like true but good hearted bandits, they borrow from the past and rework great songs to produce……………live rock music, just as it should be” in other words a 4 piece rock band available for all venues

Paul - Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar

Former drummer for the popular Ross-on-Wye band 'Roadworks' back in the 90's, Paul went on to form  'Eclipse' and fronted them for over 10years. "They were all great times" say Paul, "But echoBANDITS have some of the best players for miles around and I'm super happy to be out there gigging with them" Loves all gigs but prefers a rowdy pub crowd.

John - Lead Guitar, Backing Vocals and Harmonies

John plays guitar and is probably mostly associated with lead (or at least he likes to think so). He sings harmonies and even a few lead vocals but he doesn't consider himself a good enough singer to do too many. Loves powerful hooks, strong melodies and loads of harmony. His background is with rock guitar having played in many local Forest of Dean and Gloucestershire bands such as Geneva, No Sympathy, Independence, The Men From Bars and Skin Deep. Now there is the echo Bandits......

Rod - Bass

Coming from the meca for culture and talent that is Cinderford, and influenced by such bass players as James Jamerson (Motown), John Entwistle (The Who), Paul Gray (Eddie & the Hot Rods, The Damned), Bruce Foxton (The Jam, SLF), Horace Panter (The Specials, Dirt Road Band), Rod is the Eric Morcombe of bass - he plays all the right notes, but not necessarily in the right order. Rod started playing bass in the mid 1990's in both original and cover bands, has spent the last 10 years holding down the bottom end for the Dirk Spangle Five, and is now looking forward to new musical shenanigans with the Echo Bandits.
